For me, one of the most important aspects of this whole journey, alongside raising funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians, is to record and document as much of it as possible. For me, the journey has already started, and cycling the 1000 miles will only be a small part of this whole experience. Training so far has been a great experience – I have met some really interesting people who are offering so much encouragement for this cause and as a bonus, I have learned a lot more on the mechanical workings of the bicycle. There will also be a fundraising night to raise awareness for the cause (Wednesday 14 July, The Drop in Stoke Newington, London – more details to follow).
To assist with documenting my journey on the bike, I recently purchased a video camera, which is about the size of my thumb! Here are a couple of sample videos. I love the sound and the colours on the second video…(check the volume of your speakers before playing!)
Here’s a sample of still images from this remarkable device! Can’t wait to see the whole lot as a stop frame animation!
