MAP

After 25 years of implementing programmes and delivering humanitarian aid in the Middle East, Medical Aid for Palestinians is today recognised as one of the leading charities working to save and improve the lives of an entire generation of Palestinians.

From the massacre in Sabra and Shatila, to the war on Gaza in 2009, MAP has delivered emergency aid to those most in need. Where there is hardship and heartbreak MAP has brought hope.

Today MAP works in partnership with leading Palestinian organisations to reach out to isolated communities in the oPt and Lebanon – learning and sharing knowledge and skills to help improve the access to health – a fundamental human right so long denied to generations.

In Gaza, the devastation from the assault in 2009 as well as the ongoing blockade, continue to cause great hardship for the 1.5 million men, women and children who live there. With thousands of homes destroyed and families surviving in substandard living conditions, life has become an endless struggle. We will show you how MAP’s work brings comfort and aid to communities traumatised by conflict.

Their mission is to work for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.
